1 Pine St, Kismet, NY 11706

Fire Island is a car-free paradise! Getting to Kismet is part of the adventure.
The only way to reach Kismet is via the Fire Island Ferries departing from Bay Shore, NY.
LIRR: Take the Long Island Rail Road to the Bay Shore station. David Brothers Taxi service is available at the station for a quick ride to the ferry terminal.
Driving: Navigate to the Fire Island Ferries terminal in Bay Shore (99 Maple Ave). Paid parking is available across the street from the terminal for the weekend.
Make a weekend out of it! Here are the best ways to stay near the celebration.
The best way to experience Fire Island is by renting a beach house in Kismet with family or a group of friends. Houses are walking distance to the venue, the beach, and the ferry.
*We recommend booking early, as fall weekends are popular and inventory is limited.
If you prefer standard hotel accommodations, there are options both on the island and on the mainland near the ferry terminal.
Located minutes from the Bay Shore ferry terminal. Perfect for those who prefer not to stay on the island overnight.
Hotels like Clegg's Hotel or The Palms are located in neighboring Ocean Beach. Note: You will need to take a water taxi from Ocean Beach to Kismet for the wedding.
Beach Formal. We want you to look nice but be comfortable! Think light suits (no ties required), midi or maxi dresses, and elegant jumpsuits. The ceremony will take place near the sand, so block heels, sandals, or even barefoot are encouraged.
Early October on Fire Island is usually beautiful, with crisp air and sunny skies. Highs are typically in the upper 60s to low 70s, cooling down at night. We highly recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl for the evening.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time.
No! Fire Island is famously car-free. You will get around Kismet entirely by foot or by bicycle. Please plan your packing accordingly (rolling luggage is your friend on the boardwalks!).
Please let us know if you can make it by August 15, 2027.
